Description
The Skin Illustrator Slow Activator is an alcohol-based solution specifically formulated to extend the drying time of alcohol-activated pigments. This feature allows artists to blend, shade, and layer colors with enhanced control, making it ideal for detailed FX work, subtle gradations, and complex complexion applications.
By prolonging the open working time, the Slow Activator helps prevent patchiness and ensures smoother transitions between colors on both skin and prosthetics. It is particularly useful for creating realistic bruising, gentle aging effects, or intricate character makeup.
Importantly, the Slow Activator maintains pigment adhesion and final durability, making it an essential tool in any professional makeup kit for achieving precision and creative flexibility.
Instructions
Dispense a small amount of Slow Activator into a mixing cup or palette—do not apply directly to skin. Activate the desired Skin Illustrator pigment by adding a few drops and mixing with a brush until the color becomes fluid. Adjust the amount to control working time; more Slow Activator extends blending time.
Apply to clean, dry skin or sealed prosthetics using a brush or sponge. Blend, layer, and shade as needed while the pigment remains workable. Allow to fully dry before sealing or applying additional products. Close bottle tightly after use and store away from heat or open flame.
