Jesmonite Flex Metal Base is an acrylic-modified composite designed for use with Jesmonite Flex Metal Powders, enabling the creation of realistic cold-cast metal finishes. This water-based system replaces traditional resin binders with a flexible, durable acrylic base that is safer to use, low in odor, and free from solvents or VOCs.

When combined with real metal powders such as bronze, copper, or brass, Flex Metal Base produces coatings, laminates, or castings that replicate the appearance, feel, and oxidation behavior of genuine metal. The result is a lightweight yet strong surface with authentic metallic properties, ideal for sculpture, set design, and architectural finishes.

The material can be poured, brushed, or sprayed into molds, or applied as a thin surface layer over other Jesmonite composites. Once cured, surfaces can be sanded, buffed, or patinated to achieve a wide variety of finishes, from polished metal to aged or weathered effects.
