Features

  • Shore hardness: 85 D
  • Mix ratio: 1:1 by weight
  • Working time: 3 minutes
  • Demold time: 10 minutes
  • Low viscosity - easy mixing

Instructions

Preparation

  • Store and use at room temperature (23°C).
  • Use products as soon as possible due to limited shelf life.
  • Ensure low environmental humidity and good ventilation.
  • Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves.

Applying A Release Agent

  • Use a mold release agent to facilitate demolding.
  • Apply a liberal coat of release agent on all contact surfaces.
  • Brush with a soft brush for thorough coverage, then mist and let dry for 15 minutes.
  • Conduct a small test application to ensure suitability.

Mixing

  • Pre-mix Part B before use.
  • Mix Parts A and B thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the container.
  • If vacuum degassing, ensure the vacuum pump pulls a minimum of 1 Bar / 100 KPa.
  • Vacuum for 1 minute after material falls.
  • Replace lids immediately after dispensing to prolong shelf life.
  • Use XTEND-IT™ Dry Gas Blanket to extend shelf life.

Pouring

  • Pour mixture at the lowest point of the containment field to minimize air entrapment.

Curing

  • Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhaling fumes.
  • Allow castings to cool to room temperature before handling.
  • Demold time varies with mass and mold configuration.
  • For rotational or hollow castings, backfill with rigid foam if exposed to temperatures above 30°C.

Post Curing

  • Post curing increases physical properties and performance.
  • Expose material to 65°C for 4-6 hours after room temperature curing.

Performance

  • Cured castings resist moisture, moderate heat, and solvents.
  • Can be machined, primed, painted, or bonded to surfaces.
  • Conduct a small test application to ensure material suitability.
