Ease Release™ 300 / 305

Description

Ease Release 300 is a high performance, production proven release agent formulated for polyurethane elastomers and epoxy resins along with excellent release of polyurethane elastomers and microcellular foams. Ease Release 300 leaves very little build-up on the molds resulting from isocyanate or epoxy reactions, while maintaining part cleanability with common degreasing solvents. Cleaned parts molded with Ease Release 300 can be painted or bonded. Ease Release 300 is effective on all mold surfaces such as steel, aluminum, chrome, epoxy, and RTV urethane and silicone mold materials.

• Surface Integrity: Molded parts maintain excellent cleanability. After wiping with common degreasing solvents, parts can be painted or bonded without adhesion failure.
• Thermal Versatility: Effective across a temperature range of 21°C to 260°C, suitable for both room-temperature and heat-accelerated curing cycles.

Processing Instructions

1. Preparation: Ensure the mold surface is clean and free of previous residues. For new or porous molds, a sealer may be required before applying the release agent.
2. Application:
   • Aerosol: Hold the can 15–25 cm from the surface and apply a light, even mist.
   • Liquid: Brush or wipe onto the surface in a thin, uniform layer.
3. Flash-off: Allow the solvent to evaporate completely (usually 1–3 minutes) before pouring the resin or rubber.
4. Post-Molding: To prepare the cast part for painting or gluing, clean the surface with a solvent such as Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any residual release film.
