Holden's HX-Injection Medium™ Latex

Description

This low viscosity latex is designed for medical and veterinary training. 

Holden's HX-Injection Medium™ is available in blue and red, and is injected into a cadaver's blood vessels to make arteries and veins visible during dissections. 

The red medium highlights arteries, while the blue medium highlights veins.

It enhances the identification of vascular structures, aiding in educational and training settings.

Processing Recommendations

• Safety First: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid use if you have known latex allergies. Avoid contact with eyes; flush with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention if contact occurs. Remove from skin with waterless hand cleaner, then soap and water. Children should only use this product under adult supervision.

General Preparation:

• Do not allow the medium to freeze, as this renders it unusable.
• Store and use at room temperature (23°C).
• Use as soon as possible due to limited shelf life.
• Colder temperatures slow curing; warmer temperatures reduce working time.
• Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk.
• Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink, or smoke in the work area.
• Keep the container closed when not in use.

Pouring, Using & Performance:

• Mixing and Using: Stir before use. Approximately 1 liter is sufficient for an adult cadaver. 
• Inject the medium 2 weeks after embalming. Use a syringe for smaller areas or a pressure pump (~1 kPa) for larger areas. 
• Solidification can take up to a week, while smaller areas may be ready in 1-2 days.

Clean Up: Clean wet and dry latex with soap and water.
