Surface Preparation
- Etching: Provides a 'tooth' for the sealer, mainly affecting cement paste.
- Wet Sanding: Use 400-grit hand pads wet to prevent scratches.
- Honing: Exposes sand grains for a salt and pepper finish; avoid polishing too fine.
After profiling, clean the concrete to remove fine residues using a green scrubby pad and rinse with water. Ensure the concrete is fully dry before sealing, allowing at least 12 hours for drying, longer in cooler conditions.
Application Environment
Apply the sealer in temperatures between 15.5°-32°C. Maintain humidity above 40% for 3-4 days post-application.
Mixing and Application
The sealer is applied in two stages: primer and finish. Mix Parts A, B, and C in a specific order using a timer for precision. Choose between color-enhancing or non-color-enhancing primer. Apply with a foam roller, keeping the surface wet for specified times. Apply finish coats similarly to primer but keep wet for only 1 minute. Work in small sections to avoid roller marks.
Notes
- Do not spray the sealer; it contains isocyanates.
- Keep Part B's cap and threads clean to avoid adhesion issues.
- Concrete may feel tacky for 24-48 hours post-sealing.
- Use paint stripper to remove cured sealer if needed.
