Description

Buddy Rhodes Water Reducer 420 is a liquid super-plasticizer that enhances the workability and performance of high-performance concrete mixes.

It is particularly effective in GFRC (glass-fiber-reinforced concrete), self-consolidating concrete (SCC), precast, and other specialty applications.

This product reduces the water required in the mix, providing a fluid consistency that easily fills molds and captures intricate details without excessive slump or sag.

The recommended dosage ranges from 0.25% to 2.0% of the cement weight, typically 4 to 32 fluid oz per 45 kg of cement.

This allows for low water-to-cement ratios, crucial for achieving high strength, low porosity, and durable concrete.

As a liquid admixture, it disperses quickly and evenly, ensuring consistent results across batches.

Water Reducer 420 is ideal for thin-walled castings, detailed architectural elements, countertops, decorative panels, and sprayable GFRC mixes. It maintains concrete flowability and workability for pouring or spraying, while preserving structural integrity and minimizing segregation.

In GFRC applications, lower doses provide enough fluidity for a smooth face coat, while higher doses achieve self-consolidating flow, allowing concrete to settle under its own weight.

For optimal results, add Water Reducer 420 to the mixing water, or at the end of mixing, before combining with cement and aggregates. Start with small test batches (5–10 kg) to determine the correct dosage, as overdosing can cause segregation, which affects mix quality.

Whether casting furniture, architectural elements, art pieces, or structural components, Water Reducer 420 offers enhanced flow, easier placement, improved finish, and superior strength, making it a versatile choice for concrete professionals.

Instructions

  • Add Water Reducer 420 by Buddy Rhodes to the mix water or near the end of the mixing process before combining with cement and aggregates.
  • Use between 0.25% and 2.0% of the total cement weight, depending on the desired flow.
  • Mix thoroughly to distribute the liquid admixture evenly. This super-plasticizer improves workability while reducing the water-to-cement ratio, helping the mix flow easily into molds and capture fine details.
  • Ideal for GFRC, precast, and self-consolidating concrete applications.
  • Always perform small test batches to determine the correct dosage.
