Description

This casting metal is composed of 54% Lead, 11% Tin, and 35% Bismuth. The inclusion of bismuth helps to lower the melting temperature and reduce shrinkage during solidification. Unlike most alloys, this metal does not shrink while solidifying.

Instructions

To use this casting metal, follow these steps:

  1. Melt the metal in a suitable melting pot or crucible.
  2. Heat until it reaches the recommended casting temperature of 300–320°C (melting point: 138°C).
  3. Ensure the mold is clean, dry, and preheated if necessary.
  4. Carefully pour the molten metal into the mold.
  5. Allow it to cool and solidify completely.
  6. Once cooled, remove the casting and trim or finish as required.

Always use heat-resistant gloves, proper ventilation, and appropriate safety equipment when working with molten metal.
