Jesmonite Chopped Strand Fibre Reinforcements consist of short, randomly oriented fibers that strengthen Jesmonite castings and coatings. These fibers distribute stress evenly, enhance impact resistance, and minimize cracking, especially in larger or complex pieces. They are perfect for use in sculptures, architectural elements, decorative panels, and props, enhancing structural integrity without affecting surface detail.

These fibers are compatible with both AC and cement-based Jesmonite systems, enabling artists and fabricators to achieve durable, professional-quality results with improved performance and longevity.

Instructions

  • Add Jesmonite Chopped Strand Fibre Reinforcements to the mixed Jesmonite material to improve strength and durability. 
  • Typically, fibers are added at 1–3% of the total mix weight, depending on the level of reinforcement required. 
  • Sprinkle the fibers gradually into the mix while stirring to ensure even distribution and prevent clumping. 
  • Mix thoroughly until the fibers are fully dispersed. 
  • Once incorporated, apply or pour the Jesmonite into molds or onto surfaces as usual. 
  • The fibers will help reduce cracking, increase impact resistance, and improve structural stability, especially in larger or thin castings. 
  • Clean tools promptly after use.
