Cryptolyte™ Glow in the Dark

Description

This translucent liquid additive causes cured silicone rubbers, urethane rubbers, plastics, or foams to glow bright blue under a focused ultraviolet light source (blacklight). The glow effect is not visible without a UV light source.

When mixed at low percentages, it will not affect the clarity or color of the material. For example, it can be added to Crystal Clear™ water-clear resins, and the glow effect will not be evident until the casting is illuminated by a UV light source.

Instructions

Depending on the application, follow these instructions:

1. When measuring by weight, use a gram scale and add 1 part of the additive for every 100 parts of mixed material (A+B).
2. When measuring by volume, add 5 drops of the additive per 88 ml (3 oz) of mixed silicone or urethane material (A+B).

Application

For the strongest glow effect, mix into clear materials such as Sorta Clear™ silicone or Clear Flex™ urethane rubber, or translucent materials like Smooth-Cast™ 325 resin.
