Standard-cure, water-clear urethane casting resin with low viscosity.UV resistantShore hardness: 80 DMix ratio: 100A:90B by weightWorking time: 20 minCure time: 16 hrsTensile strength: 17.2 MPa
This water-clear urethane casting resin is designed for applications requiring clarity.
Crystal Clear™ 200 features low viscosity for easy mixing and pouring, curing at room temperature with negligible shrinkage.
Crystal Clear™ 200 is UV-resistant, not brittle, and can achieve vibrant colors with added pigment dispersions.
Store and use at room temperature (23°C). Use in a low-humidity environment (below 50% RH). Ensure good ventilation. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves. A NIOSH-approved respirator is recommended to minimize inhalation of fumes.
Use containers with straight sides and a flat bottom. Mixing sticks should be flat and stiff. Liquid urethanes are moisture sensitive. Use clean metal or plastic tools and containers. Stir or shake Part B thoroughly before dispensing.
Store and use materials at room temperature (23°C). The mixing ratio is 100A:90B by weight. Use an accurate digital gram scale. Do not measure by volume. Dispense Part A into a mixing container, weigh Part B, and combine.
Mix slowly and thoroughly for at least 90 seconds, scraping the sides and bottom of the container. If adding pigment, mix it with Part B before combining with Part A. Vacuum degassing is recommended to reduce bubbles. Use a vacuum pump that pulls at least 29 inches of mercury (1 Bar / 100 kPa).
Pour the mixture in a single spot at the lowest point of the mold. For encapsulation, let the mixture flow around the object.
Pressure casting is recommended for bubble elimination. Place the casting assembly in a pressure chamber at 60 PSI (4.2 kg/cm²) for the full cure time.
Castings reach ultimate properties at room temperature in 7 days. If removed early, a tacky surface can be eliminated by heating to 65°C (150°F) for 6 hours.
Post-curing improves heat and UV resistance. Cure fully at room temperature, then heat to 65°C–72°C for 6 hours. Cool to room temperature before demolding.
Shelf life is reduced after opening. Use the remaining product quickly. Replace lids immediately after use. Using a dry gas blanket can prolong shelf life.
Not for home use. Industrial use only. Follow OSHA and European Standards for respirators if needed. Protective clothing is required. If breathing is affected or a rash develops, stop use and seek medical attention. Read SDS before using.
