Description

This lightweight, non-woven surface veil enhances the appearance, durability, and structural integrity of composite laminates. Made from very fine, randomly oriented glass fibers, it easily conforms to edges, corners, curves, and complex contours.

Ideal for wrapping seams and reinforcing transitions between laminate layers
Soft, uniform texture reduces print-through from heavier fabrics
Creates smooth, pinhole-free surfaces with polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy resins
Wets out quickly, forming a thin, consistent layer
Improves interlaminar bonding and increases resistance to cracking, impact, and delamination
Used in mold building, automotive refinishing, marine repairs, and composite restoration
Effective as a finishing layer before painting or gelcoating
Light, easy to cut, and simple to apply
Adds minimal weight while significantly improving surface quality and laminate performance

Instructions

Cut the material to the required length and shape.
Prepare a clean, dry surface free from dust, grease, or loose material.
Apply a layer of polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy resin, then place the tissue onto the wet surface.
Use a brush or roller to fully saturate the fibers and remove trapped air.
Smooth wrinkles and overlaps as needed.

Allow to cure completely before sanding, recoating, painting, or gelcoating.

Safety

Wear gloves, eye protection, and a dust mask when cutting or sanding fiberglass materials.
