Description
This high-density, flexible polyurethane expanding foam features fire-retardant properties, making it suitable for applications requiring durability, flexibility, and enhanced fire performance.
With a density of approximately 368 kg/m³ (23 lb/ft³), it is one of the toughest materials in its series, producing a strong, resilient foam for professional and industrial uses.
The system mixes at a 1A:1B ratio by volume (approximately 100A:100B by weight), ensuring simple and consistent processing.
Once mixed, it offers a short pot life of about 45–60 seconds, ideal for fast production environments.
The foam expands to roughly 2x its original liquid volume, providing controlled fill with a tight, uniform cell structure that minimizes over-expansion and enhances dimensional accuracy.
It reaches a handling time of approximately 60 minutes, after which parts can be demolded, trimmed, or assembled without damage.
Full cure is typically achieved in about 4 hours, delivering final mechanical strength and flexibility within the same working day.
The cured foam is typically gray, flexible yet extremely tough, and can be cut, sanded, drilled, or painted as needed.
Thanks to its fire-retardant formulation, high density, and excellent tear and compression resistance, it is widely used for theatrical and film props, set pieces, transportation components, protective padding, industrial molds, and structural foam fills where added safety and long-term durability are critical.
