Description
This low-density, flexible polyurethane foam is designed for lightweight fills, soft props, cushioning, and special effects.
It has a foam density of approximately 48 kg/m³ (3 lb/ft³), producing a lightweight, resilient foam that remains flexible while providing enough body for shaping and support.
It is one of the softest and most economical foams in its line.
FlexFoam-iT!™ III has a 1A:1B mix ratio by volume, allowing for quick and straightforward processing.
Once mixed, it has a short pot life of about 45 seconds, requiring prompt mixing and pouring, but enabling fast production cycles.
The foam expands to approximately 15 times its original liquid volume, making it efficient for filling large cavities, molds, or voids with minimal material.
This high expansion is especially useful for creating oversized soft props, costume padding, and lightweight structural fills.
After pouring, parts require about 10–15 minutes to demold or handle, allowing for a rapid turnaround. Full cure is typically achieved in about 2 hours, at which point the foam reaches its final flexibility and physical properties.
The cured foam is usually cream or off-white, soft to the touch, and easy to cut, carve, sand, or shape. It can be painted or coated with compatible urethane or latex systems, and colorants may be added if pigmentation is required.
Due to its low density, high expansion, and soft flexibility.
FlexFoam-iT!™ III is widely used in special effects, prop making, cosplay, costume fabrication, set dressing, lightweight padding, and void filling, where weight reduction and material efficiency are critical.
It is suitable for projects that do not require high tear strength or load-bearing performance but benefit from fast curing, easy handling, and a soft, compressible finished foam.
