Description

This high-strength, rigid polyurethane expanding foam is designed for applications requiring lightweight structures with excellent compressive strength and dimensional stability. With a density of approximately 160 kg/m³ (10 lb/ft³), it produces a strong, impact-resistant closed-cell foam that is easy to machine and finish. Commonly used in industrial, prototyping, marine, and special effects applications.

Key Features

  • 1A:1B mix ratio by volume for simple, repeatable processing
  • Pot life of 2–3 minutes, allowing thorough mixing and controlled pouring
  • Expansion to approximately 6 times its original liquid volume, ensuring low-pressure expansion and dimensional accuracy
  • Demold time of about 30 minutes, with full cure in approximately 2 hours
  • Cream to off-white color when cured, suitable for cutting, drilling, sanding, carving, machining, or bonding with adhesives
  • Compatibility with paints, coatings, and surface skins like epoxy, urethane rubber, or fiberglass for enhanced durability

Ideal for structural cores, tooling and fixture fabrication, marine flotation, scenic elements, architectural details, prototype parts, and reinforcing hollow components. An excellent choice for projects requiring a strong, lightweight, and easily workable rigid foam.

Instructions

  • Mix at a 1A:1B ratio by volume until uniform. 
  • Pour within 2–3 minutes working time. 
  • The foam expands approximately 6×, so allow space in the mold. 
  • Do not disturb during rise. 
  • Demold after approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Full cure in about 2 hours. 
  • Use clean, dry molds and a release agent if needed. 
  • The foam can be cut, drilled, or sanded after curing. 
  • Wear gloves, avoid moisture, and ensure good ventilation.
