Ignite™ Fluorescent Pigments

Description

The line of liquid fluorescent colorants is designed for use with urethane rubbers, plastics, foams (both rigid and flexible), and epoxy resins. These colorants enhance the glow effect under ultra-violet or black light. The most striking color effect is achieved when used with clear or translucent materials like Clear Flex™ 50 rubber or Smooth-Cast™ 325 plastic.

These colorants make castings appear to glow by allowing more ultraviolet light to be visible compared to other colorants. This results in brighter castings in ambient light and a glowing effect under UV light.

Instructions

• Colorant Loading Levels: Add colorant at 0.5% - 1.5% of the total weight of the material. 1% yields the best results. Exceeding 1.5% is wasteful and may inhibit curing.
• By Volume: Use 30 drops per 88 ml of mixed material. For translucency, use 15 drops.
• Pre-Mix Before Using: Thoroughly mix colorants in the container before use.
• Directions For Use: Add colorant to Part B, mix thoroughly, then combine with Part A as directed.
• Blending Colors: Mix different colors on a palette to create custom colors.
• Compatibility: Compatible with urethane rubbers, plastics, foams, and tin-catalyzed silicones. Thickens platinum silicone rubber, affecting vacuum degassing. Limit to 1% by weight.
• Alternative Use: Use pigmented material as paint for platinum silicone castings. For fluorescent effects, use Silc-Pig™ ELECTRIC pigments.
