Description
This rheology modifier allows precise control over material flow. By adding 0.5% to 1.5% by weight, the mixture can be adjusted from a 'heavy cream' to a 'thick putty' consistency, suitable for vertical applications. It is essential for rotational casting to ensure uniform wall thickness and for slush casting hollow forms. While it provides excellent hang-strength, it naturally slows the pot life and cure time of the Dryve™ system. To maintain a fast production pace, it is often paired with Matrix™ Accelerator, achieving a material that is both thick and fast-setting.
Instructions
How to Use
- Standard Mix: Thoroughly mix Matrix Dryve™ powder and water for 1 minute until smooth.
- Add Thickener: Measure the thickener as a percentage of the total powder weight using an accurate gram scale.
- 0.5% (Thick): For a controlled pour or slow slush cast.
- 1.0% (Thicker): For general vertical application.
- 1.5% (Thickest): For heavy troweling or maximum hang-strength.
- Final Mix: Add the thickener and continue drill-mixing for 15 seconds only.
Important Limit: Do not exceed 1.5%. Adding too much thickener will cause a chemical reversal, making the material thin and runny again.
