Description

This durable thermosetting polymer is extensively used as a binder, coating, and reinforcement material in both industrial and artistic fields. Composed of melamine-formaldehyde, it offers excellent hardness, heat resistance, and moisture protection once cured.

Applications

  • Enhances the performance of materials such as wood, paper, textiles, and mineral composites
  • Creates a dense, smooth, and highly durable surface when combined with fillers or gypsum
  • Improves strength, impact resistance, and surface clarity in casting and molding applications
  • Used as an additive in acrylic or gypsum systems to increase toughness and reduce porosity

Easy to mix with water, fast-curing, and compatible with a wide range of pigments and additives, offering excellent versatility for artists, fabricators, and manufacturers. Non-yellowing, scratch-resistant, and highly stable, it is the material of choice for creating long-lasting, high-quality composites and coatings.

Instructions

This powdered melamine-formaldehyde thermosetting resin is used for industrial adhesives, laminates, coatings, or molding applications. Follow these steps for safe and effective use:

  1. Add the resin gradually to clean water while stirring to obtain a smooth, lump-free mixture, adhering to the manufacturer’s specified ratio and catalyst system.
  2. Cure requires heat and pressure, which vary by formulation.
  3. Use only in a well-ventilated area, as formaldehyde vapors may be released during processing.
  4. Wear safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, and a dust mask or respirator when handling the powder.
  5. Avoid inhalation, skin and eye contact, and ingestion.
  6. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture.
  7. Dispose of waste according to local regulations.
