Description

This robust urethane elastomer is designed for applications requiring high impact resistance, abrasion durability, and flexibility. 

Simpact™ 80A II offers enhanced UV stability and long-term durability.

Features

  • Mixes at a 2A:1B ratio by volume or weight
  • Working time of approximately 15 minutes
  • Handling strength in about 4 hours
  • Full mechanical properties develop after ~48 hours at room temperature
  • Shore hardness of 80A
  • Excellent tear and tensile strength
  • Good abrasion resistance and elasticity
  • Can be pigmented with SO-Strong™, Ignite™, or UVO™ colorants
  • Bonds well to itself for multi-layer builds
  • Can be machined or trimmed after curing

Typical applications include durable prop parts, functional prototypes, shock-absorbing components, and flexible mechanical elements where strength and resilience are crucial.

Instructions

Mix at a 2A:1B ratio by volume or weight until uniform. Pour into prepared mold.

  • Working time is approximately 15 minutes.
  • Do not disturb during cure.
  • Allow approximately 4 hours for handling strength.
  • Full cure in approximately 48 hours at room temperature.
  • Use mold release if needed.
  • Once cured, part can be trimmed or finished.
  • Wear gloves and ensure proper ventilation.
