Description

For optimal adhesion to glass surfaces, follow these preparation steps:

  1. Clean the Glass Surface:
  • Wipe the glass with isopropyl alcohol using lint-free paper towels. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes.
  • Next, clean the glass with an ammonia-based glass cleaner, again using lint-free paper towels. Let it dry for another 10 minutes.
  1. Apply the Primer:
  • Once the glass is clean, apply a coat of primer with a clean, dry paintbrush. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes.
  • A hazy film will form on the surface. Wipe it away with a lint-free cloth until the surface is clear.
  • Apply a second coat of the primer, let it dry for 10 minutes, and wipe the surface clear again.

After these steps, the glass surface is ready for the application of silicone encapsulant.

Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare the glass surface for bonding:

  • Clean the glass with isopropyl alcohol using a lint-free cloth and let it dry for 10 minutes.
  • Clean again with an ammonia-based glass cleaner and allow it to dry for another 10 minutes.
  • Apply the primer with a clean brush and let it dry for 10 minutes.
  • Wipe off the hazy film that forms.
  • Apply a second coat, let it dry for 10 minutes, and wipe the surface clear.

Once completed, the surface is ready for bonding.
