Description

Dissolve the powder in a solvent like 99% isopropyl alcohol or acetone before application, then mix the matting powder with UreCoat™ Urethane to achieve a matte finish.  The mixture can be applied by brushing or using an HVLP spray gun to reduce gloss on surfaces. Compatible surfaces include Smooth-On flexible urethane elastomers, urethane foams and epoxies.

Application

  • Suitable for Smooth-On flexible urethane elastomers, urethane foams, and epoxies.

Uses

  • Matte finishes on artificial vines, tree branches, rocks, movie and cosplay props, costume elements, animatronic skins, taxidermy, and latex mask repair.

Durability

  • Highly resistant to water, impact, ultraviolet light, and abrasion.

Instructions

  • Dissolve the matting powder in 99% isopropyl alcohol or acetone until fully dispersed. 
  • Mix into UreCoat™ Urethane and stir thoroughly. 
  • Apply by brush or HVLP spray in thin, even coats. 
  • Allow to dry and cure according to instructions. 
  • Adjust the amount to control the matte level. 
  • Use on clean, dry surfaces. 
  • Wear gloves and ensure proper ventilation.
