Description
This self-releasing platinum-cure silicone rubber is applied directly to the skin for creating molds of the face, hands, and other body parts. It cures quickly and captures excellent detail from any original model. Certified skin-safe, it releases from hair-covered skin surfaces without the need for additional release agents. It is durable for multiple castings with materials like plaster, wax, and resins. The working time is 6 minutes, and the demold time is 20 minutes, depending on conditions.

Instructions
Storage and Usage
Store and use at room temperature (23°C / 73°F). Warmer temperatures reduce working and cure times and can shorten shelf life. Use safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk.
Safety
Conduct a small test on the back of your hand to check for allergic reactions. Do not ingest or use to make molds of the mouth's interior. Avoid open eye contact. For face molds, apply to closed eyes only after using release cream on eyelashes.
Application
Life casting requires at least three people. Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free of products that can inhibit curing. Avoid using latex gloves and aloe-based products. Mix Parts A and B thoroughly before application, using a 1A:1B ratio. Apply with a wooden tongue depressor, brush, or gloved hand, following hair growth direction.
Application and Curing
Add material as needed, as it sticks to itself. Ensure final mold thickness is 1 cm. Let cure fully before applying a support shell.
Support Shell
Use Gypsona™ Plaster Bandages for a support shell. Apply petroleum jelly to the rubber mold surface before applying bandages to prevent suction. Bandages cure in 15 minutes.
Demolding
Peel rubber away slowly from the skin. Instruct the model to provide feedback during removal.
Casting
Trim edges of the rubber mold before casting. Seat the mold into the support shell. No release agent is needed for most materials. Let the rubber cure for at least 60 minutes before casting resins.
Releasing Platinum Silicones
Use petroleum jelly thinned with mineral spirits as a release agent for platinum silicones. Mix 80% mineral spirits with petroleum jelly and apply to mold surfaces. Let dry for 30 minutes before applying silicone.
