Description
Super Sculpey Ultralight™ is a lightweight clay perfect for jewelry-making, mixed media projects, home decor, and cosplay creations. As the lightest clay offered by Sculpey®, it is soft and easier to work with than aluminum foil, providing a smoother base for building projects.
After curing, this clay can be carved, drilled, sanded, or painted. It chemically bonds with Sculpey® and Sculpey Premo™ clays, enhancing the strength of the final product. Its buoyant nature makes it ideal for bathtub toys or floating candleholders, and it is perfect for larger ornaments that won't weigh down tree branches.
Super Sculpey Ultralight™ can be used for:
Filler for larger beads
Paper crafts and personalized embellishments
Keepsake handprint and paw print ornaments
Armatures for sculptures
Clay pendants, bangles, and coasters
Hanging planters
Instructions
Bake at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness. Do not microwave or exceed the recommended temperature or baking time. Ensure your work area is covered, using a Sculpey® Work 'n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected surfaces.
After curing, you can carve, drill, sand, or paint the clay. Avoid using a microwave oven or a hot knife. Do not allow the clay to contact an open flame. Uncured clay should not be placed on varnished or painted surfaces, as its plasticizers can dissolve these materials. Avoid placing unbaked clay on fabric, carpeting, plastic, flooring, or furniture.
Acceptable work surfaces include a metal sheet, ceramic tile, index card, aluminum foil, or the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat.
