Description

This urethane casting resin is semi-rigid, offering flexibility while being strong and tough. Originally developed for high impact tooling,TASK™ 11 provides good abrasion and chemical resistance.

Instructions

Storage and Environment

Store and use materials in a warm environment (23°C). This product is moisture sensitive and should be used promptly.

Safety

Mix in a well-ventilated area. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves.

Applying A Release Agent

Apply a release agent to facilitate demolding. Use a mold-specific release agent and ensure thorough coverage. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

Measuring

Mix 100 Parts A to 100 Parts B by weight. Dispense Part A, then Part B, and combine.

Mixing

Shake or stir both parts before use. Mix thoroughly, scraping sides and bottom of the container. If tinting, add pigment to Part B before combining with Part A.

Pouring

Pour the mixture at the lowest point of the mold. For encapsulation, avoid pouring directly over the object.

For Best Results

Use pressure casting at 4.2 kg/cm² for 16 hours.

Storage After Opening

Use remaining product quickly after opening. Replace lids immediately to prolong shelf life. Use XTEND-IT™ Dry Gas Blanket for extended storage.

Curing

Ensure adequate ventilation during use. Let castings cool to room temperature before handling. Demold time varies with mass and mold configuration.

Post Curing Option

Post cure in a dedicated oven at 65°C for 4 hours for full cure and maximum properties.

Food Contact Applications

Complies with 21 CFR, Section 177.1680 for dry food contact. Test for suitability if performance is in question.
