Description
Included in prosthetic gelatin, this stabilizing agent reduces the hydroscopic tendencies of gelatin, preventing it from absorbing excess moisture and altering texture over time. It maintains the material’s flexibility and softness, ensuring wounds, scars, burns, and other FX effects move naturally with the performer’s skin. Compatible with other gelatin components, it allows artists to create durable, lifelike, and skin-safe prosthetics with consistent texture, translucency, and performance. This makes it suitable for film, theatre, cosplay, and other creative applications.
Instructions
- Add to melted prosthetic gelatin to improve stability and flexibility.
- Mix thoroughly over low, indirect heat until fully incorporated.
- Adjust ratios gradually to achieve the desired softness and reduced tackiness.
- Use the finished gelatin for skin-safe wounds, scars, and FX prosthetic applications.
