Hx-Ceco Powder Thickner™ is a blend of powders and surfactants mixed into natural latex to thicken subsequent coats applied to a mold after the initial layers.

This process enables mold makers to achieve the desired thickness more quickly and with fewer applications.

Additionally, it enhances the strength and tear resistance of the rubber mold, resulting in a more durable final product.

Instructions

For thicker latex coats to fill undercuts, use this powder blend. It mixes with latex without adverse effects.

Mix the powder into the latex to form a thin paste or putty.
Ensure the mixture is thick enough to be dragged up the mixing bowl without sagging.
Apply the paste to fill undercuts and thicken the base lip to maintain mold shape.
Gradually build up the mold surface over several sessions, avoiding overly thick applications to ensure proper drying.
Use the paste to fill undercuts that could become hooks, preventing issues when removing the mother mold.
Create a smooth surface for the mother mold to support the latex without gaps, ensuring stability and preventing future problems.
