Description

This thickening agent is designed for use with silicone rubber systems, enhancing viscosity without affecting cure quality or mechanical strength. It enables application on vertical, angled, or overhead surfaces where standard viscosities might run or sag.

N.B. THI-VEX™ will not work with Mold Max™ 40, Mold Max™ 60 or Solaris™ silicones.

It is particularly useful for creating brush-on molds, shell-layer applications, and detailed surface builds. The additive is mixed into Part A before combining with Part B, ensuring full activation and even curing.

Ideal for mold makers, prop fabricators, artists, and industrial users, it provides control in projects where standard silicone viscosity is insufficient.

Instructions

Add the thickening agent to silicone Part A and mix thoroughly until the desired thickness is achieved. Then add Part B and mix until uniform. Adjust the amount to control viscosity, ranging from brushable to paste-like.
