Plasti-Paste™ II

Description

This fiber-filled urethane resin is designed for creating strong, lightweight mother molds, support shells, and reinforcement backings for silicone or urethane rubber molds. 

Its thick, paste-like consistency allows easy application on vertical surfaces without sagging, making it suitable for complex shapes and large projects. 

Once cured, it becomes tough and durable, offering high impact resistance and excellent dimensional stability over time.

Plasti-Paste™ II is also a powerful adhesive and can be used as a repair material for a variety of industrial applications.

 Cured plastic can be sanded, machined and painted with acrylic enamel paints.

Features

• Adheres well to most surfaces when properly prepared

• Reaches handling strength in approximately 90 minutes
• Full mechanical properties develop after a 24-hour cure
• Shore D hardness of 70 when fully cured

Common applications include mother molds for silicone skins, architectural restoration, special effects, sculpture production, prop fabrication, industrial prototyping, and lightweight composite structures.

Instructions

• Mix components thoroughly until uniform. 
• Apply to prepared surface using a trowel or spatula. 
• Working time is approximately 10–12 minutes. 
• Build in layers as needed without sagging. 
• Allow approximately 90 minutes for handling strength. 
• Do not disturb during cure. 
• Full cure in approximately 24 hours, achieving a Shore D hardness of 70. 
• Once cured, the material can be sanded or machined. 
• Wear gloves and ensure proper ventilation.
