Simpact™ 85A

Description

This low-odor, fast-setting urethane elastomer is designed for applications requiring high tear strength, impact resistance, and wear resistance. With a Shore hardness of 85A, it provides excellent durability and dimensional stability, suitable for impact-resistant props, prototypes, and display pieces that endure repeated stress and handling.

Once cured, the elastomer exhibits excellent flexibility, toughness, and dimensional accuracy with low shrinkage and strong resistance to tearing and abrasion. Its stability and toughness make it suitable for parts requiring repeated flexing and impact without cracking or deforming.

Can be easily colored using SO-Strong® or Ignite® colorants, allowing for customized finishes and visual effects. Its fast setup, strength, and reliability make it a preferred choice for both artistic and industrial applications where high-performance, durable urethane materials are needed.

Instructions

• Mix at a 70A:100B ratio by weight until uniform. 
• Pour into the prepared mold immediately, as working time is approximately 5 minutes. 
• Do not disturb during curing. 
• Allow approximately 120 minutes for handling strength and 48 hours for full cure at room temperature (23°C).
• Use mold release if needed. 
• Once cured, the part can be trimmed or finished. 
• Wear gloves and ensure proper ventilation during use.
