Description

This two-part epoxy clay requires no firing and self-cures to a hard, durable state with minimal shrinkage. It is 30% lighter than similar products, enabling larger, stronger sculptures with improved weight distribution. The ultra-fine particle size enables detailed sculpting with precision tools or by hand. A mirror-like gloss finish can be achieved by smoothing with water before curing.

Features

  • Maximum usability: Adjust consistency and workability by adding water as you mix components.
  • Mix equal parts A & B by hand for a long working time of 1.5 hours.
  • Cures overnight to a strong, rigid, and waterproof epoxy.
  • Easily colored with UVO™ or IGNITE™ colorants for effects like marble.
  • Paintable with acrylic paints once cured.
  • Free of crystalline silica, safe for sanding and shaping.
  • Bonds to various surfaces, including wood, metal, glass, stone, and concrete.
  • Can cure underwater.

Instructions

Safety: Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves, and rubber gloves. A NIOSH-approved respirator is recommended.

Preparation: Store and use materials at room temperature (23°C). Conduct a small test application to ensure suitability for your project.

Applying a Release Agent: Use Ease Release 200 or 205 for non-porous surfaces to prevent adhesion.

Mixing: Dispense equal amounts of Part A and Part B. Knead together until uniform in color. Add water periodically to improve workability.

Pot Life/Working Time: Mass-sensitive; larger quantities reduce working time. Flatten putty to extend pot life.

Application: Apply up to 6.35 cm thickness. Pot life and cure time depend on mass and temperature. Add water to maintain workability.

Sculpting: Apply to wire mesh armatures for rigid forms. Work in small sections and build up layers. Use water to prevent tools from sticking.

Curing: Reaches full properties after 24 hours at room temperature. Cured epoxy is waterproof and can be sanded or machined.

Painting: Prime and paint with acrylic enamel paints. Allow paint to dry fully before handling.

Heat Resistance: Fully cured putty resists temperatures up to 65°C with a minimum thickness of 1.27 cm.

Removing Uncured Material: Remove excess material and clean residue with soap and water. Use E-POX-EE KLEENER™ if needed.

Shelf Life: Unopened, shelf life is 2 years at 23°C. Use contents promptly after opening.
