Instructions

This product has a limited shelf life and should be used promptly. Store and use in a warm environment (23°C).

Avoid moisture to prevent bubbles. Use in low humidity (below 50% RH).

Mixing containers should have straight sides and a flat bottom.

Use flat, stiff mixing sticks with defined edges for scraping.

Apply Sealing and Release Agents

This compound is adhesive and bonds to many surfaces.

Seal porous molds with SuperSeal™, then apply Universal Mold Release™.

For urethane molds, apply Universal Mold Release™ before casting.

Conduct a small test casting if unsure about surface compatibility.

Selecting a Mold Rubber

Cures in 16 hours at 23°C. The surface may remain tacky, depending on the mold rubber used. Eliminate tackiness by post-curing at 60°C for 5 hours.

Suitable for tin-cured silicone molds (Mold Max™) or platinum-cured silicone (Mold Star™ 15, 16, or 30).

Not compatible with Mold Max™ T-Series or Mold Star™ T-Series.

If using Mold Max™ Silicone, post-cure newly made molds for 4 hours at 60°C and let cool before casting.

Measuring & Mixing

Stir or shake Part B thoroughly before dispensing. Mix Parts A and B thoroughly for at least 3 minutes, scraping sides and bottom of the container. For large quantities (7 kg/16 lbs or more), use a mechanical mixer for 3 minutes, then hand-mix for 1 minute. Pour into a new container and repeat. Add filler or pigment to Part B before adding Part A.

Important: The material is mass-sensitive and will generate exothermic heat. Large casts generate mild heat and shrink in proportion to mass. Shrinkage depends on casting thickness and mold configuration.

Vacuuming Material

For vacuum degassing, ensure the vacuum pump pulls at least 1 Bar (29 inches of mercury/100 kPa). Leave room for material expansion. Vacuum until material rises, breaks, and falls, then continue for 1 minute.

Pouring, Curing & Performance

Pour into a rubber mold at the lowest point. For encapsulating objects, avoid pouring directly over them. Use a uniform flow to minimize air entrapment. Best results with pressure casting at 4.2 kg/cm² (60 PSI) for at least 2 hours.

Room temperature curing (23°C/73°F) for 24–48 hours is adequate. Ultimate physical properties are reached in 5–7 days.

Safety and Handling

CAUTION: NOT FOR HOME USE. FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY. Adequate local exhaust ventilation is required. Respiratory protection is not normally needed, but follow OSHA and European Standards if necessary. Wear protective clothing to minimize the risk of dermal sensitization. If breathing is affected or a rash develops, stop use and seek medical attention. Read SDS before use.
