Description
This specially formulated urethane liquid plastic is designed to shatter or crumble on impact, simulating the look and behavior of real glass. It is water-clear and cures to a transparent, glass-like finish. Once fully cured, it can be cast into thin, solid sections to replicate window panes, bottles, jars, or glass objects, or rotationally cast to form hollow breakable props used in film, television, and stage productions. When shattered, it breaks into small, realistic fragments that mimic the effect of breaking glass without the danger of sharp edges.
Features
- Maximum recommended casting thickness: 0.33 cm (1/8") for best clarity and controlled breakability
- Cures at room temperature
- Simple 1A:1B mix ratio by volume (e.g., 1 cup + 1 cup)
- 90-minute demold time
- Castings can typically be broken after 6 hours
- Low viscosity for easy mixing, pouring, and precise detail reproduction
- UV resistant, maintaining clarity and color over time
- Artists and prop fabricators can add pigment dispersions for vibrant colors or custom effects
