Description

Clayshay™ is a versatile and safe material, free from asbestos and featuring 0% shrinkage. It can be mixed thick to resemble clay or thin for a maché texture. The product features a double-set design that locks in details and prevents shrinkage.

Clayshay™ has a light brown color and is lightweight yet strong, making it suitable for various applications as both clay and maché. Once set, it can be carved, filed, sanded, painted, or otherwise finished to meet your project's needs.

Instructions

  • Mix Clayshay™ powder with clean water to desired consistency—use less water for a clay-like texture or more for a maché-style slurry. 
  • Blend thoroughly until smooth and lump-free. 
  • Apply by hand or tool to a clean surface, shaping and detailing as needed. 
  • The double-set action helps lock in fine detail with 0% shrinkage. 
  • Allow to fully set and dry before finishing. 
  • Once hardened, it can be carved, sanded, filed, or painted. 
  • Clean tools with water before material sets.
