Petrolatum-based release agent for mold making and casting (formerly Eject-It 33).Non-silicone formulaReleases liquid silicone rubberWorks on clays, plasters, plastics, metals, woodTemperature range: 10°C - 315°CDries to a matte finish
Universal Mold Release is designed to facilitate the easy release of molded parts from a variety of mold materials. It is compatible with silicone, urethane, and other mold-making materials. Known for its efficiency in preventing sticking and ensuring the clean separation of the mold from the cast part.
For porous models made of wood, plaster, or concrete, or certain modeling clays containing water or sulfur, sealing with Smooth-On SuperSeal™ or another appropriate sealer may be necessary.
The Universal™ Mold Release operates effectively across a wide temperature range from 20°C to 260°C. However, when using silicone rubber, only SuperSeal™ should be used to seal the model surface, as Universal™ Mold Release is not suitable for this purpose.
This release agent also facilitates the easy release of various casting materials, including epoxies and Smooth-On liquid plastics, from cured rubber molds. It is important to note that the product has a limited shelf life and should be used promptly for optimal results.
When used correctly, Universal™ Mold Release enhances molding efficiency across various casting applications and can extend the life of production molds.
Ideal for use in mold-making processes where clean release is critical, such as in the production of prototypes, art pieces, and industrial components.
