They disperse into monofilaments, making them less visible on finished surfaces compared to bundled fibers. Visibility varies with fiber size: smaller fibers like PVA 7 are less visible, while larger fibers like PVA 100 are more visible.
Smaller fibers create more strands per batch, aiding crack control but potentially making the mix stiff if overdosed. This can result in poor flow, trapped air, or incomplete mold filling. Larger fibers like PVA 100 are better suited for more fluid mixes, while PVA 15 and PVA 7 should be added more cautiously and at lower amounts.
